DARE is a community based program focusing on educating children and young people on the dangers of using drugs and engaging in violence. DARE has origins in the inter-city of Los Angeles, California and is now an international program. There are over 40,000 DARE officers in schools all over the world helping to educate young people. DARE is a fantastic resource which creates a partnership between police officers, teachers and parents.

The Brimfield Police Department has two officers trained to teach the DARE curriculum. Both officers are committed to providing a safe school environment and educating the students.
