The Brimfield Community Cupboard and partners, the Brimfield Police Department and the Faith United Methodist Church Women’s Ministry, is gathering school supplies for an August distribution to Brimfield children in need. Each year it becomes a bigger challenge to supply each child with the required list of items that they will need to start the next school year, so any donation of the following supplies will be greatly appreciated. read more…
The Brimfield Police Department is pleased to soon provide an online portal via their website (www.brimfieldpolice.com) for our residents to safely and securely submit Vacation Watch information online, which will be directed to their Department and to their officers on patrol. Previously, residents requesting a Vacation Watch would need to call the police department and have a form filled out by hand by a staff member taking your phone call. This public portal option eliminates the requirement to do that going forward.
Once again, our Brimfield Police Department is partnering with AAA and Frank’s Drive-In to promote bicycle safety for our kids via the Helmet Smart Campaign. As officers are out and about over the summer months and they see kids wearing safety helmets, officers may issue safety citations for a free ice cream cone at Frank’s Drive-In. This campaign runs from June to August. The kids even have a chance to win a new bike by completing the form and mailing it to AAA!
Our thanks to AAA, Frank’s Drive-In and our BPD for making this campaign happen every year. It has been a huge success for several years and the kids (and parents) always look forward to it! Thank you!

The demolition is completed at the Brimfield Community Art and Nature Center on Edson Road. Great progress has been made and we are excited to move forward. But there is still a lot to be done before the center can be opened, including plumbing, electrical, flooring, painting.
We will be having a community volunteer “work” or “paint” day when the time comes, but please be patient. We are moving forward but money as always, is a huge factor in how much and when things can get done. We will be continuing with the fundraising Flea Markets in the Town Center this spring and summer as we did last year. There will be other fund-raisers as well. Of course, as always, we still need donations to help us move forward. Any amount is greatly appreciated and is tax deductible. Checks can be made payable to Brimfield Township with the notation “Community Center” in the memo and mailed to or dropped off at the Brimfield Township Administration Office, 1333 Tallmadge Road. We appreciate your support and are excited to make this center a reality….sooner rather than later!
