Zoning Resolution Text Amendments
The proposed change is to eliminate Planned Residential Developments (PRD) from the more rural areas of Brimfield Township. This includes the Open Space Conservation (O-C), Rural Residential (R-R), and Low Density (R-1) Zoning Districts. The purpose of this change is to preserve the agricultural land within the Township and to focus development within the higher density Zoning Districts.

- (D)(3) – Prohibited uses: The following Zoning Classifications O-C, R-R, and R-1 are not permitted to utilize a PRD as a conditional use.
- The view we have is there are rural and very rural areas using the PRD to gain considerable density bonus as compared to the straight zoning density that is permitted. This use of the PRD effectively changes the character of those areas.
