The Brimfield Township Zoning Commission will meet in public session for a hearing on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 6:00 PM at the Brimfield Town Hall, 1333 Tallmadge Road, Brimfield Township, Ohio 44240 regarding the proposed rezoning of the following districts:

Zoning Amendment Application: 

Brimfield Township Zoning is requesting to rezone Brimfield Township’s O-C District (Open-Conservation) at Pleasant Lakes Development to R-4 – High Residential District.  The purpose is for the Zoning District to reflect the type of housing/development already in existence in this district.

O-C District Minimum Lot Size for Single Family Dwelling – 5 acres

R- 4 District Minimum Lot Size for Single Family Dwelling – 10,890 square feet

Zoning Amendment Application: 

Brimfield Township Zoning is requesting to rezone Brimfield Township’s O-C District (Open-Conservation) from Howe Road to I-76 and from Howe Road to the Kent City border from O-C (Open Conservation District) to R-2 Zoning District – Medium density residential development and to R-1- low density residential development.  The purpose is for the Zoning District to reflect the type of housing/development already in existence in this district.

O-C District Minimum Lot Size for Single Family Dwelling – 5 acres

R- 2 District Minimum Lot Size for Single Family Dwelling – 1 acre

R-1 District Minimum Lot Size for Single Family Dwelling – 1.5 acres

At the conclusion of the Public Hearing, this matter will be submitted to the Brimfield Township Board of Trustees for its action.

All documents, including Zoning Maps, will be available for review at the Township Town Hall located at 1333 Tallmadge Road, Kent, Ohio 44240.
